Common workflows

Workflow 1: Compare two time periods

  1. Add metric to canvas
  2. Add date range to canvas
  3. Drag both dimension and date range to canvas
  4. Workspace shows side-by-side comparison

Workflow 2: See top pages

  1. Drag Page Name to canvas
  2. Drag Visitors to canvas
  3. By default, top 10 pages by visitors shown
  4. Click arrow to sort ascending/descending

Workflow 3: Segment mobile vs desktop

  1. Drag Device to canvas
  2. Drag Visitors to canvas
  3. Right panel: add Mobile and Desktop segments
  4. Compare side-by-side

Workflow 4: Create a calculated metric

  1. Metrics panel → + (New metric)
  2. Numerator: Revenue
  3. Denominator: Visitors
  4. Formula: Revenue / Visitors
  5. Name: "Revenue per Visitor"
  6. Save
